The Edina High School Concert Band will host its second weekend of performances for the 63rd annual POPs concert. The performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 25-27. A special “mini” one-hour POPs matinee is 1 p.m. Saturday Feb. 27. All performances are at Edina High School’s Fick Auditorium, 6754 Valley View Road.

This year’s theme is “POPs at the Oscars.” The show will feature a mix of music, dance comedy and video performances. It will also feature Hollywood-themed music, as well as a walk down the red carpet for audience members to have their picture taken by paparazzi.

A silent auction will be held each evening, with proceeds going to new band uniforms. As the district moves all ninth-graders into the high school in 2017, the current 340-member band will have more than 500 students. Those who are interested in donating can do so at edinabands.com or mail checks to EHS Bands, Attention Uniform Drive, 6754 Valley View Road, Edina, MN 55439.

The ticket box office opens one hour prior to each show or can be purchased at edinabands.com. Tickets are $13 reserved, $10 adult general, $6 students and seniors general admission. The Feb. 25 show features all tickets at a reduced price: $7 reserved, $3 general, Mini Pops: $3, with all tickets being general admission. The Edina Senior Pass is valid Feb. 25 only.
