The Saint Michael’s College freshman runner and Eden Prairie High School graduate was selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll after finishing eighth out of 60 runners at the VIC Championships at Middlebury College. He covered the 8k course in 27:42.8.
Eden Prairie’s senior running back tandem of Solo Falaniko and Antonio Montero combined to run for 175 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles 35-6 win at Shakopee on Oct. 6. In six games Falaniko has rushed for 686 yards and two touchdowns while Montero has scored 11 times and rushed for 143 yards.
The native of Eden Prairie was inducted into the University of Minnesota’s ‘M’ Club Hall of Fame on Thursday after winning the 400-meter dash title at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2003.
The Eagles forward in back to back games to give her four goals on the season. She scored the lone Eden Prairie goals in a pair of 2-1 losses last week including an overtime loss to Hopkins on Oct. 3 and the regular season finale at Edina on Oct. 5.
Eden Prairie’s senior captain scored twice in a 4-1 win over Hopkins on Oct. 3 to bring his season goals total to 14. It was the fourth multi-goal game for Kurtenbach.
