The Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools is holding its annual 5K for EP Schools fundraiser Sept. 23. Participants will begin the race in the EPHS Aerie Stadium and run/walk through Round Lake Park.
The focus is on fun, not competition, with serious and non-serious runners alike enjoying a morning of healthy fun, but prizes will be awarded to winners in each age bracket. The event will also include a 1-mile family fun run inside the stadium.
Participants can also reach out to family and friends to support their run with a personalized fundraising page.
Registration and detailed event information for the run can be found at foundationforEPSchools.org. Registration is $35 and comes with a t-shirt, pending size availability.
The inaugural Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools (FEPS) 5K, formerly called the Alma Mater Trotter, was held in 2009. Now called the 5K for EP Schools. The 5K’s goals are threefold: 1) Increase the visibility of the Foundation in the community, 2) Encourage Eden Prairie schools’ families, alumni, faculty, staff and all community members to support Eden Prairie schools, and 3) Raise funds for the Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools staff/teacher grant program.
