An organization development specialist and Bloomington Jefferson High School graduate is seeking one of four seats up for election this fall on the Bloomington Board of Education.
Dan Stirratt wants to bring diverse members of the community together and collaborate on strategic budget initiatives that address important issues affecting Bloomington’s students.
“Bloomington Public Schools gave me a foundation on which I built my own educational path and career development,” he said. “I want to do everything I can to support educational opportunities in Bloomington so our students and community continue to flourish.”
Stirratt is the father of three Bloomington Public Schools students, a volunteer with the PTA at his children’s school, employed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services and will serve on the city of Bloomington’s “One Bloomington” Inclusion and Equity Action Group.
The school board election is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
