Richfield Police reports: Suspect reportedly brandishes gun in road rage incident

For Aug. 16-21, Richfield Police responded to the following calls:

Aug. 16 – After stopping a vehicle on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue around 12:45 p.m., police arrested the driver on a warrant and arrested the passenger for narcotics.

A victim on the 7500 block of Lyndale Avenue reported a $350 bike stolen around 4:15 p.m.

Aug. 17 –  Two males damaged a video camera and motion light at a business on the 7500 block of Lyndale Avenue, it was reported around 10:30 a.m.

A female assault victim on the 800 block of West 78th Street reported around 1 p.m. that another female struck her in the face with a glass of water.

In a case of road rage reported at Target around 4:30 p.m., the victim said the suspect pointed a gun at him. The suspect was not located.

When police responded to the 7100 block of Chicago Avenue around 6:45 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated person, one party fought with officers and was arrested.

After police responded to a report of a medical emergency on the 500 block of East 78th Street, officers found a small amount of heroin on the individual.

A moped was stolen from a garage on the 7400 block of 18th Avenue, it was reported around 9:30 p.m.

Police responded to an active fight at East 66th Street and Portland Avenue around 10:30 p.m. A man had been driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for second-degree DWI.

Aug. 18 – Police located four individuals in a stolen vehicle after responding to the 6500 block of Penn Avenue around 9:15 a.m. on a report of suspicious activity. The vehicle occupants were arrested.

Someone came to the police department lobby around 4:30 p.m. to report a domestic assault on the 7600 block of First Avenue.

Aug. 19 – Around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a delayed report of criminal sexual assault that occurred on the 7100 block of Chicago Avenue.

A juvenile made allegations of possible abuse after police responded to a report of a disturbance on the 7100 block of Chicago Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

Responding to an animal at large on the 7400 block of Oakland Avenue around 4 a.m., police learned that a male had broken into his ex-wife’s house. He was arrested for burglary and violating an order for protection.

A theft from a vehicle was reported on the 6600 block of Irving Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

A stolen vehicle was reported on the 6800 block of Humboldt Avenue around 12:15 p.m.

Aug. 20 – Police arrested a driver for fourth-degree DWI at West 68th Street and Lyndale Avenue around 1:15 a.m.

A suspect was arrested on a felony warrant after police responded to a report of the individual attempting to get into a vehicle on the 6500 block of Nicollet Avenue around 6:15 a.m.

An adult male and female were arrested on warrants after police responded to the 300 block of West 77th Street around 8 p.m. on a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Aug. 21 – A driver was found to be intoxicated around 9:45 a.m. during a traffic stop for speeding at West 70th Street and Wentworth Avenue. The driver was arrested for fourth-degree DWI.

Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 600 block of East 78th Street around 6:30 p.m. Some $200 worth of tools were stolen.
