All elementary schools, Central Middle School and Eden Prairie High School will host open houses to welcome students and their families prior to the first day of school, which is
Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Central Middle School will host an open house for eighth-grade students 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, and an open house for seventh-grade students 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28. Students will have the opportunity to load their lockers, have their school photo taken, purchase items from the school store and learn more about student activities.
New students and students who did not take their iPad home over the summer will be issued an iPad during open house.
Eden Prairie High School will host a freshman and new student orientation 8-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30. The general EPHS open house is 6-8 p.m. the same day, with a kick-off meeting for parents of freshmen and new students beginning at 5 p.m.
Eagle Heights Spanish Immersion School will host its open house 4-6 p.m. Thursday Aug. 31. All other elementary schools in the district (including Cedar Ridge Elementary, Eden Lake Elementary, Forest Hills Elementary, Oak Point Elementary and Prairie View Elementary) will host open houses 4-6 p.m. the previous night, Aug. 30.
Likewise, open houses will take place for Early Childhood Family Education and full-day Little Eagles Preeschool at the Education Center 4-6 p.m. Aug. 30. An open house will take place in the same window for morning and afternoon students at Little Eagles Preschool at the lower campus of the same facility.
