Richfield Community Band Shell

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. on July 11, 2017, at the Richfield Municipal Center, 6700 Portland Avenue, Richfield Minnesota 55423 for the following project:

Richfield Community Band Shell, Veterans Park Richfield, Minnesota 55423.

This work consists of all labor and materials for a new freestanding, non-sprinkled, wood frame building in Veterans Park in Richfield, MN. Work includes general construction, civil, and electrical work. All in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Linner Morschen Architects, 10100 Morgan Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55431, dated June 22, 2017.

Bids will be opened and read publicly, directly following the bid due time by the City Clerk, City Manager Representative and Parks and Recreation Director. Bid opening will be in Bartholomew Room located within the Richfield Municipal Center, 6700 Portland Avenue.

Bids shall be properly endorsed and delivered in an envelope marked: BIDS FOR THE RICHFIELD COMMUNITY BAND SHELL and shall be addressed to: Richfield Municipal Center, 6700 Portland Avenue, Richfield, Minnesota 55423, attention City Clerk.

All bids shall be submitted in the bidders own letterhead in facsimile of the Bid Form enclosed in the Specifications, or by utilizing the Bid Form enclosed with the Specifications by typing or writing, in ink, the name of the bidder at the top of the form.

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cash deposit, or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount of the total bid, made payable to the City of Richfield, Minnesota.

The City reserves the right to retain the deposits of the lowest three Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of the Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Bid Opening Date.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price; said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City, and shall remain in effect for a period of one year from and after final acceptance. The successful bidders will also be required to provide satisfactory Certificates of Insurance and a signed contract within ten business days of the bid award.

The City of Richfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.

Bidding documents will be available for public inspection June 22, 2017. Bidding documents will be available for viewing at the Richfield Municipal Center, The Minnesota Builders Exchange, Dodge Data & Analytics,, and Blue Book. Hard copies of plans obtained directly are the responsibility of the bidder and any related costs are non-refundable. Documents can be viewed online on the website of Franz Reprographics at Bidders, suppliers or subcontractors may view documents from this location on line, and may download documents for a non-refundable fee of $15.00.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
