A man and woman were found dead this morning inside their Eden Prairie home, according to Eden Prairie police officials.
At 7:21 a.m., Eden Prairie Police were called to a residence on the 6000 block of Woodhill Trail to conduct a welfare check on a yet-to-be-identified man who did not report to work.
Police found an adult male and female inside the home, both of whom were deceased. There were no other occupants in the home when police arrived.
This morning, Eden Prairie police identified a person of interest associated with the residence due to numerous prior 911 calls in the past 10 years. Police shared suspect information with law enforcement agencies statewide, and at 11:19 a.m. in Buffalo, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol took a 38-year-old male suspect into custody. He is being transported to the Eden Prairie Police Department for questioning.
Police are not looking for any more suspects in this case.
The Eden Prairie Police Department and Hennepin County Crime Lab are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death and identity of the victims.
