Letter: Gordon’s community involvement prepares him for the job

To the editor:

I am writing to express my support of Gordon Hanson for Richfield City Council. He and his wife have lived in Richfield for 25 years, having raised their son through Richfield’s public schools and youth sports programs.

Even if you have never met Gordon, you have likely seen him at one of the many community events in which he participates. His long history of involvement, from the Sheridan Hills PTO to the Chair of Friends of Wood Lake, gives him the knowledge of who to engage regarding any concerns and opportunities he might encounter as a councilmember.

I most admire Gordon for his dedication to our community. One example is Open Streets at Penn Fest, which is West Richfield’s biggest celebration. My family and I look forward to it every year, and Gordon has been a driving force behind making it the success that it is.

Please join me in voting for Gordon Hanson for Richfield City Council on May 23!
