Eden Prairie Sun Current Stars of the Week for May 18

Lauren Oberle
The Minnesota Duluth freshman infielder and Eden Prairie High School grad posted a .294 batting average playing in 55 games this spring for the Bulldogs softball team (35-20) that was elminated from the NSIC tournament on May 5. She scored 32 runs with 11 doubles, 10 home runs, 20 walks and stole seven bases. In the field she made 82 assists and 56 putouts compiling a .972 fielding percentage.

Nolan Sullivan
The Eden Prairie native had one goal and two assists in 12 NAHL playoff games for the Aberdeen Wings. That one goal was the game winner against Minot on April 15. The season ended in the Robertson Cup semifinals with a best-of-three loss to Aston on May 13.

Sarah Wilhite
The former Gophers and Eden Prairie volleyball standout will head over to Busto Arsizio, Italy to play professionally for Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio (UYBA) with teams in the Serie A1 and A2 levels.

Connor Young
The Eden Prairie senior shutout Rogers for eight innings to help the Eagles top the Royals 2-1 in nine innings Monday night at Round Lake Stadium.

Jack Claeys
The Northwestern junior and Eden Prairie native has 25 hits, 20 RBIs, 11 runs and six doubles in 31 games this spring. He drove in three RBIs going 3-for-4 with a home run in an 11-4 win over Western Michigan on April 11.

Luke Lind
The North Dakota State junior pitcher and Eden Prairie grad is 5-4 in 13 appearances this season for the Bison. He’s 2-0 over his last three appearances spanning 19 2/3 innings with 26 strikeouts, 10 hits and seven earned runs. He struck out a season-high 11 South Dakota State batters enroute to a 3-0 NDSU win on April 28.

Dan Loats
The UNC-Greensboro junior pitcher and Eden Prairie grad is 6-2 in 13 appearances making 64 strike outs over 63 innings. Most recently he earned the win over The Citadel, going 5 1/3 innings with four earned runs on eighth hits, one walk and seven strikeouts on May 14.
