Eagle’s Summer Basketball Camp
Registration is open through May 26 for the Eden Prairie Girls Basketball Association’s Eagle’s Summer Basketball Camp June 12-15, coached by varsity head coach Faith Johnson Patterson and varsity players and staff at Eden Prairie High School. The fun-filled camp for the younger grades mixes individual and group fundamentals with games and competitions. First-second grades meet 8-9:30 a.m.; third-fourth grades meet 9:30-11 a.m.; Fifth-sixth grades meet noon-1:30 p.m. and seventh-eighth grades meet 1:30-3 p.m. First-fourth grades fee is $75 and fifth-eighth grades $85. Campers registered before May 26 will receive a t-shirt.

Eagles Shooting Stars Club
Eden Prairie Boys’ Basketball Association announced its Summer 2017 Eagles Shooting Stars Club program. The free off-season program is designed to develop shooting skills while having fun and is open to members of the traveling and in-house programs. Players earn membership (and a special t-shirt) by making baskets, lots of them between May 1-October 1: Kindergarten-second grades need to make 2,500 baskets; Third-fifth grade make 5,000 baskets and sixth-12th grades make 10,000 baskets. Eagle Basketball Camp
Eden Prairie Boys Basketball Association’s Eagle Basketball camp is June 26-30 at the Eden Prairie High School Activity Center and open to Kindergarten-10th grade (2017-18 school year). The camp mixes teaching, competitions and games and is coached by current varsity players and coaching staff with a guaranteed 4-to-1 player to coach ratio. Kindergarten-second grade meet 8-9 a.m. fee is $60; third-fourth grades 9:15-10:45 a.m. fee is $80; fifth-sixth grades meet 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; seventh-eighth grades 1-2:45 p.m. and ninth-10th grades meet 3-4:45 p.m. Fee for fifth-10th grades is $95. Deadline to register is June 10. A $10 late fee will be applied after June 10. Info: epbba.org.

EPBBA Golf Classic, July 31
The ninth annual Eden Prairie Boys’ Basketball Association Golf Classic is set for July 31 at Bearpath Golf and Country Club. A 1 p.m. shotgun start features a scramble, skins game and hole prizes plus current varsity players serving as caddies for the $160 entry free with proceeds to benefit the EPBBA and EPHS boys basketball programs. Dinner and silent auction to follow at 7 p.m.

Twins Baseball camp
The Minnesota Twins will host its first camp featuring high-end instruction with a first-class experience starting June 12-16 at Miller Park in Eden Prairie. The camp is $395 and is open to boys and girls ages 6-14 and runs Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes skill development, competition, camaraderie and fun. Campers receive a full Twins uniform, four tickets to a Twins game and a graduation certificate. During the week campers will be treated to a special VIP trip to Target Field to meet a current Twins player and coach. The Miller Park camp is the first of 13 sites statewide. Randy’s Run set for May 29
Randy’s Run 2017 5K run/walk is set for Memorial Day, May 29 at Purgatory Creek Park starting at 8 a.m. Pre-race packet pickup will be Saturday and Sunday at TC Running Company in Eden Prairie with race-day pickup starting at 7 a.m. at the Purgatory Creek Park Pavilion. Over $1,500 in prizes will be awarded around 9 a.m. including $100 gift cards to TC Running Company for the top male and female finishers. Info: randysrun.org.

Dance Team kids camp
Eden Prairie Dance Team will host its 30th annual dance camp July 13-14 from 9 a.m. to noon at Eden Prairie High School. No formal dance experience necessary. Youth camp is open kindergartners fifth graders and prep camp is open to sixth-eighth graders. Register at epdt.org by June 30 to receive a camp t-shirt. Fee is $65.

EP Football Challenge
The Eden Prairie Football Association is hosting a 7-on-7 passing tournament on May 20 at noon at Aerie Stadium the turf fields surrounding the stadium. The tournament is open to fourth-eighth graders with 80 percent of the 10-player roster living or attending school in Eden Prairie. A $200 team fee includes two guaranteed games. Football camp
Registration is open for Mike Grant’s summer football camps which take place on the high school turf fields July 10-14. Third-fourth graders meet from 9-10:30 a.m. with a $60 fee. Fifth-sixth graders meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and seventh-eighth graders meet from 2-4 p.m. Camp fee is $70. Ninth-10th graders will meet July 24-28 from 9-11 a.m. with a $70 fee. Specialty camp for receivers, quarterbacks, defensive backs and kicks will be July 17-20 from 3-4:30 p.m. also meeting on the turf fields. Cost is $60. Info: edenprairiefootball.com.

Volleyball camp
Eden Prairie varsity volleyball coach Chad Becker will host a girls’ volleyball camp open to beginners and accomplished players. June 19-22 from 9 a.m. to noon (beginners) or 1-4 p,m. (fifth-ninth graders with some experience) or July 17-20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (seventh-12th grade with Junior Olympics or high school experience). Register by May 1 for an early bird discount. Fire Department Golf Tournament
The Eden Prairie Fire Department hosts its fifth annual golf tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society at Bearpath Golf and Country Club May 22 from 1-8 p.m. Registration is $185 per golfer and includes access to the driving range, putting green, 18 holes of golf with a cart and caddie and dinner to follow. Youth golf registration
Get a Grip Youth Golf, a volunteer organization working to get kids 8-15-years-old to have fun playing golf and learn some life lessons along the way serving Eden Prairie, Edina, Minnetonka, Hopkins, Chaska and Chanhassen based at the 9-hole Glen Lake golf course on Sundays, July 9-August 27 with tee times starting at 3 p.m. A $150 fee includes play on six of the eight Sundays, use of the driving range with some instruction before their round. Local high school golfers will accompany younger players on the course. Early registration continues through April 15 with more information available at getagripyouthgolf.com.
