Richfield High School prom couples will be introduced to parents, relatives, friends and the community during the Grand March at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20, in the Richfield High School Auditorium, 7001 Harriet Ave.
The public is invited to the march as they see students off to prom that evening. Admission is free.
Wild Ones presentation covers cycles and seasonsThe Wild Ones native landscaping club is hosting a talk on backyard phenology as it relates to climate change at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lakeshore Drive, Richfield.
Dr. Rebecca Montgomery from the University of Minnesota Forest Resources will give a presentation titled, “Tracking Nature’s Cycles and Seasons in a Changing Climate,” during the free program.
A half hour of social time precedes the program at 6:30 p.m. Beforehand, the club will take part in a spring walk at the nature center 5:45-6:30 p.m. as it learns to read the nature center’s calendar, which tells visitors about change in the environment due to climate change.
