Wild Ones presentation covers cycles and seasons

The Wild Ones native landscaping club is hosting a talk on backyard phenology as it relates to climate change at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lakeshore Drive, Richfield.

Dr. Rebecca Montgomery from the University of Minnesota Forest Resources will give a presentation titled, “Tracking Nature’s Cycles and Seasons in a Changing Climate,” during the free program.

A half hour of social time precedes the program at 6:30 p.m. Beforehand, the club will take part in a spring walk at the nature center 5:45-6:30 p.m. as it learns to read the nature center’s calendar, which tells visitors about change in the environment due to climate change.
