Richfield Police reports, April 26 through May 2

For April 26 through May 2, Richfield Police responded to the following calls:

April 26 – A storage unit on the 200 block of West 78th street was burglarized, it was reported around 5 p.m.

A theft from a vehicle on the 7000 block of 12th Avenue was reported around 5:15 p.m.

A victim told police around 9 p.m. that her vehicle parked outside LA Fitness had a window smashed out, with a purse missing.

Police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle outside LA fitness around 10:15 p.m.

April 27 – An incident of third-degree criminal sexual conduct was reported on the 6300 block of Pleasant Avenue around 12:45 p.m.

A theft of goods valued at $430 total was reported at Best Buy around 8:15 p.m. Police arrested one suspect on a warrant and cited the other for misdemeanor theft.

A burglary was reported on the 6800 block of James Avenue around 9:15 p.m.

April 28 – A 2013 Hyundai Elantra was stolen from a parking lot on the 7600 block of Aldrich Avenue, it was reported around 4:30 a.m.

A male attempted to punch another male and threw soda all over the victim, police learned after responding to a report of a disturbance at Menards around 8:45 a.m.

A lock to a unit in the Public Storage locker facility, located at 200 West 78th Street, was cut and several items were taken, it was reported around 9:45 a.m.

A firearm theft was reported on the 6300 block of 15th Avenue around 10:15 a.m.

A patient at Richfield Health Center sustained significant injuries, but it was unknown how those injuries occurred when police responded to the rehabilitation facility around 11:15 a.m.

Suspected child abuse was reported on the 7200 block of Nicollet Avenue around 12:30 p.m.

A unit at the Public Storage locker facility was broken into, with several items taken it was reported around 2:45 p.m. The loss amount was unknown.

A theft from an unlocked vehicle on the 7300 block of 11th Avenue was reported around 6 p.m.

The victim in a fight, reported on the 7700 block of Portland Avenue, was uncooperative and did not want to file charges when police responded around 6:15 p.m.

April 29 – After responding to a disturbance on the 900 block of East 78th Street around 1 a.m., police arrested a man for domestic assault.

A driver was arrested for fourth-degree DWI near Highway 62 and Interstate 35W around 2 a.m.

A possible assault involving the bruising of a patient’s face was reported on the 7700 block of Portland Avenue around 1:45 p.m.

Someone broke a window to a vehicle parked outside Pizza Luce and stole a backpack, for an estimated loss of $270, it was reported around 2:45 p.m.

April 30 – After stopping a vehicle for failing to drive in a single lane at East 78th Street and Portland Avenue around 1:45 a.m., police arrested a driver and passenger for possession of a pistol.

A unit at the Public Storage locker facility was burglarized, it was reported around 9:45 a.m.

May 1 – A burglary on the 6600 block of 11th Avenue was reported around 3:30 p.m.

May 2 – Police arrested a driver for third-degree DWI after stopping the vehicle for driving offenses at East 70th Street and Nicollet Avenue around 1:15 a.m.

A driver was cited for violation of an instructional permit and a passenger was arrested for disorderly conduct after police stopped the vehicle at East 66th Street and Park Avenue around 2 a.m. for having a shattered windshield.

A bicycle was returned to its owner after being reported stolen at Target around 6:30 p.m. The suspect was cited for bike theft.
