For Feb. 15-22, Richfield Police responded to the following calls:
Feb. 15 – A victim brought two people he found on a dating site into his apartment on the 6700 block of Cedar Avenue, reporting around 12:30 a.m. that he believed they stole money from the apartment.
Police checked on a possible stolen vehicle on the 7000 block of Park Avenue around 3:15 a.m. Upon arrival, it was determined a license plate was stolen.
Two iPhone 7s were reported stolen from Best Buy Mobile, it was reported around 12:15 p.m.
After receiving a report of a disturbance on the 6500 block of Oliver Avenue around 3:30 p.m., police arrested a man for fifth-degree domestic assault.
Feb. 16 – Someone forced entry into the American Legion by breaking a window around 2 a.m. Nothing of value was reported missing.
Police responded to the 6300 block of Dupont Avenue around 12:15 p.m. on a report of criminal sexual conduct involving two juveniles.
A house on the 6200 block of Pleasant Avenue was egged, it was reported around 8:45 p.m. The victim stated the incident was part of ongoing harassment by former friends.
Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 6300 block of Bryant Avenue around 9:45 p.m., finding a small baggie of suspected cocaine. The adult male driver was arrested.
A female was harassing a male on Facebook in an attempt to coerce him out of $25,000, it was reported on the 7200 block of Cedar Avenue around noon.
Feb. 17 – An order-for-protection violation was reported on the 7600 block of Xerxes Avenue around midnight. Police arrested the male suspect.
Responding to a report from Best Buy around 1:15 p.m., police located a hard drive containing child pornography.
A male stole $378 worth of merchandise from Target around 2 p.m. Police cited the suspect.
Police arrested a suspect on two outstanding felony warrants after stopping a vehicle at East 78th Street and Chicago Avenue around 2:45 p.m. The driver initially provided police with a false name.
A $2,400 laptop was stolen from a counter at a gas station at 6300 Lyndale Avenue, it was reported around 8:30 p.m.
Feb. 18 – Police arrested a driver for fourth-degree DWI after stopping the vehicle for speeding at Interstate 35W and westbound Interstate 494 around 12:15 a.m.
Police arrested a driver for third-degree DWI at East 46th Street and I-35W around 12:45 a.m. after observing the vehicle failing to stay in a single lane.
After stopping a vehicle for speeding at Highway 62 and southbound I-35W around 2:45 a.m., police arrested a driver for third-degree DWI.
A stolen vehicle was reported on the 7700 block of Penn Avenue around 8:45 a.m.
An unwanted guest on the 7700 block of Lyndale Avenue was refusing to leave, according to a report made around 9:15 a.m. Police arrested a man for drug possession and a second male on a felony warrant.
A stolen vehicle was reported on the 7100 block of 12th Avenue around 1:45 p.m.
A theft from a vehicle on the 100 block of East 68th Street was reported around 6:30 p.m.
Feb. 19 – Police found a driver to be intoxicated after stopping the vehicle at Highway 62 and southbound I- 35W around 12:45 a.m. The driver was arrested for marijuana possession.
Police arrested a driver for DWI at West 66th Street and Lynwood Boulevard around 3:15 a.m. after stopping the vehicle for failure to yield.
A theft from a vehicle on the 7400 block of Third Avenue was reported around 6:45 a.m.
Responding to the 7400 block of Third Avenue around 8 a.m. regarding a found purse, police determined there had been a theft from a vehicle.
Someone entered two unlocked vehicles in a driveway on the 7200 block of Third Avenue, in addition to entering an unlocked garage, it was reported around 8:15 a.m. Nothing was reported missing at the time.
A female was found to be in violation of an order for protection when police responded to the 800 block of West 65th Street around 8:45 a.m. to investigate suspicious behavior. The female was arrested.
On the 7700 block of Bloomington Avenue, a juvenile female took her mother’s vehicle without permission and crashed it, according to a report made around 9:30 a.m.
A portable ice house was stolen from a driveway on the 6600 block of Lynwood Boulevard, it was reported around 4:45 p.m. The estimated loss was $550.
When police responded to West 65th Street and Pleasant Avenue around 5 p.m. to check on the welfare of several parties, the subjects ran. Police located one suspect and cited the party for fleeing.
Feb. 20 – A woman was arrested after being found in possession of narcotics and in violation of an order for protection when police made contact on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
A juvenile male reported he was robbed at gunpoint of cash and his $150 pair of shoes, it was reported on the 6300 block of Dupont Avenue around 3:45 p.m.
Feb. 21 – Following a traffic accident, police arrested a driver for second-degree DWI on the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue around 5 a.m.
Police detained four juvenile males and one adult male after the suspects fled a stolen vehicle on the 7700 block of Portland Avenue around 3:45 p.m. One juvenile male was arrested.
Feb. 22 – A restaurant in the Hub reported around 8:30 p.m. that a delivery driver received a counterfeit $50 bill.
Officers confiscated a BB gun and a machete after a driver refused to comply with commands and caused a disturbance during a traffic stop on the 6500 block of Lyndale Avenue around 9:15 p.m. The driver was arrested.
