NAMI summer camp

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota will hold a free, one-week “Summer Camp” of classes designed to empower young people to take charge of their lives and deal with the issues they are facing in a healthy and effective way.

The course helps teens understand how to maintain good mental health; how to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder; how to help friends, siblings and parents understand what they are going through and different types of treatment options.

The camp meets 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, Aug. 12-16, at Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Room 274 in Eden Prairie. Registration is required. For information or to register for this class, contact Andrea Lee at 651-645-2948 ext. 106.
