Connecting With Kids honored six people for their leadership.
Ann Schulze, Tony Harmon, Katie Quinn, Chris Tower, Gary Dietz and Linda King received Leadership Awards at a breakfast Feb. 22, at Braemar Clubhouse.
Schulze, a STRIVE volunteer, was recognized for supporting students and community mentors in the STRIVE program.
Harmon, a Valley View Middle School security monitor, was recognized for making strong personal connections with students.
Quinn, an Edina High School student, was recognized for her work in organizing students and volunteers for Kids Voting Edina.
Tower, a fifth-grade teacher at Concord Elementary, was recognized for collaborating with students, teachers and the community in creating a community garden.
Dietz, a youth minister at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, was recognized for his inclusion of students from all faith backgrounds in his ministry.
King was recognized for her efforts to connect young people in her neighborhood with adult neighbors.
