Eagle athletes sign national letters of intent

Nineteen Eden Prairie High School athletes signed national college letters of intent Feb. 6.
Six Eagle volleyball players were scheduled to take part in the signing-day ceremony at EPHS. Those athletes led Eden Prairie to a second-place finish in the state Class 3A tournament.
Eagle volleyball signees were Hannah Redman (South Dakota School of Mines and Technology), Sarah Wilhite (Minnesota), Jamie Cairncross (Winona), Maddie Reese (St. Thomas), Leesa Hulstrand (Northwestern of Roseville) and Erin Schwarz (Crookston).
Three members of Eden Prairie’s Prep Bowl state championship football team signed letters of intent. Defensive lineman Tyson Reinke is headed to Kent State and linebacker Jack Cottrell will attend Boston College. Defensive back Logan Duitsman will attend Winona State University on a football scholarship.
Four Eagle swimmers inked letters of intent. They were Ellie Suek (Missouri), Aaron Greenberg (Yale), Bryce Boston (Minnesota) and Jonathan Lieberman (Northwestern).
Three Eden Prairie lacrosse players also signed — Emma Claire Fontenot (Notre Dame), Jake Woodring (Denver) and Arik Andreen (Hobart).
Eden Prairie women’s soccer player Kristen O’Brien will attend Houston Baptist University. Eagle baseball first baseman/pitcher Luke Lind is headed to North Dakota State University. Ashley Clapp will compete in women’s softball at Northern State University in South Dakota.
