“Congratulations, you’ve written a book, now what?” People will seek the answer to that question at a presentation on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Richfield Community Center, 7145 Harriet Avenue.
The way to get published has changed, says Sybil Smith, publisher of Smith House Press. “The traditional publishing gatekeepers are no longer in control of the book market,” Smith said. “Authors are now able to produce a finished, professional-quality book for fewer out-of-pocket expenses, and take advantage of new ways to promote and sell their books to a worldwide audience.”
Attendees will learn about every stage of the publishing process, including creation, publication, promoting, marketing and sales. Strategies covered are promised to include both ones that are time honored and cutting-edge.
The program costs $25. Register online at br.thatscommunityed.com.
