Bloomington Jefferson High School Theatre Company will present “A Christmas Carol” next week.
Performances are 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, through Saturday, Dec. 15, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the school’s auditorium, 4001 W. 102nd St.
A Christmas Carol is an 1843 tale written by Charles Dickens. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and selfish man, who is visited by a series of ghosts who reveal to him the error of his ways by illustrating the true meaning of Christmas.
“A Christmas Carol is a familiar show beloved by many, but this version offers a unique twist,” said Russ Purdy, the show’s director. “Charles Dickens himself is a character in the play.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students, available in advance and one hour prior to show time.
A performance for seniors is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12. Tickets are $5 and only available for purchase at the school prior to show time.
