Edina Stars of the Week – 12-6-12

Marley Allison

Associated Press named Allison first-team All-State in football. Allison, a senior wide receiver and defensive back, was Edina’s Co-Offensive MVP along with senior quarterback Mark Handberg.

Ian Collins

Collins was named Best Offensive Lineman at the Edina High football banquet. He also earned Associated Press All-State honorable mention.

Deon Dorvil

Associated Press named Edina High’s senior nose tackle first-team All-State in football. He was also an All-Lake Conference selection.

Connor Hurley

Hurley’s hat trick helped Edina score a 6-1 non-conference boys hockey win over Lakeville South Nov. 27 at Braemar Arena. He contributed an assist in a 4-0 non-conference win over Centennial Nov. 29.

Andy Jordahl

Edina High’s senior center scored two goals as the Hornet boys hockey team remained undefeated with a 4-0 victory over Centennial.


Mitch Larson

The Edina High baseball pitcher has signed a Letter of Intent to play for the University of Nebraska-Omaha.


MC McGrory

Edina High downed Eagan 49-40 in a non-conference girls basketball game Nov. 27 at Eagan High. McGrory sparked the Hornets’ attack with 25 points.
